How do I Sign Up?

Click the "Sign Up" button and follow the simple instructions. A My Laundry Hamper sales representative will contact you within 24 hours to schedule a time to deliver our Welcome Kit and answer any additional questions that you have about our services. It's that easy!

What's in the Welcome Kit?

The Welcome Kit consists of one or two laundry bags (depending on your needs), a dry cleaning bag, a "special attention" bag, some stain cleaning tips, and preprinted Special Instructions sheets. If you need one, we'll also provide you with a plastic tote to protect your clean laundry from nasty weather. We do require a $20.00 refundable deposit for all Welcome Kits just to cover the initial costs of the tote and laundry bags.

How do I arrange to have my laundry picked-up and returned to me?

We arrange pickups based upon our route. Currently laundry picked-up on Monday morning is returned on Thursday morning; laundry picked-up on Tuesday morning is returned on Friday morning. Our schedule allows for sufficient time to pass between deliveries so you're ready to send out dirty clothes as your clean clothes are being returned.

How much does your service cost?

It all depends on what plan you sign up for. To determine which MLH plan best fits your lifestyle, please click on over to the "Our plans and pricing" page.

How am I charged?

We bill to your credit or debit card directly. All customers receive an email invoice every time their card is billed. For security reasons our drivers do not carry any cash and therefore cannot accept payments.

Who does my laundry?

Your laundry is always processed by a My Laundry Hamper employee and closely monitored to insure quality service. Since your laundry is usually processed on the same day and at the same time each week, it will usually be processed by the same team of employees.

Do I have to be at home to receive my clothes?

No. We'll leave your clean laundry where you tell us to. Whenever possible, please select a drop-off site that's protected from the elements.

What happens if I have special instructions one week?

Simple. Just log in to your personal laundry profile and add a note in the "Special Instructions" field. Or if you're short on time, just use one of our pre-printed Special Instruction slips and place it in the top of your laundry bags. Our employees check your personal laundry profile for any changes every time they process your laundry.

What if I forget to put my laundry out on the pickup date?

We send an email reminder to all our customers 24 hours before their pickup time. Unfortunately, we reserve the right to charge a $10.00 missed pickup fee to cover costs if no laundry is left at your pickup site. If you are out of town, just send us an email at accounts@mylaundryhamper.com and we will take you off the pickup list for that week and then make sure you let us know when to resume service.

Is there a contract?

No. We do not believe in contracts. We want to earn your service every week so any customer can cancel the service at any time for any reason.

What happens if you lose/damage some garments?

While we are known for our high quality care, mistakes can happen. If we lose or damage an article please notify us within 48 hours of the laundry being returned to you. Unfortunately we cannot be responsible for laundry that is lost or damaged by the weather after it's dropped off at your home. Please review the terms and conditions for more details.

What do I/you do about stains?

Please place all stained clothing in the "special attention" bag and let us know by including a note in the bag or on your laundry profile what the stain is and we'll do our best to get it out. While we're usually successful at removing stains, we can't guarantee we'll be able to get it out. If you can pretreat the stain before putting the garment in the bag, it will increase the odds of success.

What if I am away?

Please notify us (accounts@mylaundryhamper.com) if you are going to be away and do not need a pickup. If we have already picked up your laundry but you'll be away on the return date, let us know and we'll hold it until you get back.

Where is laundry left for pickup/drop off?

We recommend that your pickup/drop-off location be as protected from the elements as possible. Most customers have us leave their laundry on a front or back porch or in a garage. If necessary, we provide all of our customers with a plastic tote that offers some protections from the weather. We also use common sense and watch the weather. If a hurricane or blizzard is coming, we'll contact you and make alternative plans.

How long have you been in business?

My Laundry Hamper's sister company has been in the personal laundry cleaning business for over 30 years. We have an excellent reputation for providing high quality service. Feel free to contact us with any questions or if you need any referrals.

Can I select pickup dates or are they pre-arranged?

Pickup dates are determined by your location and the routes of our drivers.

How often can I change my laundry profile?

As often as you like. Some of our customers tweak their profile prior to every pickup because they have special instructions for us. Other customers set up their preferences when creating their account and then rarely need to change them.
