Our Plans and Pricing

You're intrigued by the idea of saving time and eliminating the hassle of washing, drying, folding, washing, drying, folding but naturally you're asking, "What will it cost me?" That depends entirely on which plan you choose and what your laundry needs are. Recognizing that those needs bridge a broad spectrum, we've created 4 different plans that cover everything from quick and multiple turnarounds to dry cleaning-only plans. Take a minute to read the descriptions of each plan or look at the shorthand version, or compare them all side by side.

Let's talk about Plans A & B together for a minute before breaking out the differences between the two...

Because we need to cover the costs of sending our driver to your house to pick up and then deliver your laundry, we have a minimum charge of $20.00 for each pickup. As long as you send us more than 17 pounds of laundry per pickup (a pretty small load) you'll leapfrog the minimum charge. If you send us more than 17 pounds per pickup, we just charge you by the pound. For plans A & B the per pound rate for washables is $1.20 per pound. So if you send us 20 pounds of laundry your bill will be $24.00.

It's simple math, really. Take the number of pounds of laundry per pickup and multiply it by $1.20.

Here's where things get a little tricky - but to your benefit. If your pickup weight exceeds 35 pounds for Plan A, or 45 pounds for Plan B, we stop the meter running for a bit and "cap" your bill. For Plan A the "cap" is $42.00. For Plan B the "cap" is $54.00.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Why is "cap" in quotes? Because for Plan A we start the meter running again if your pickup weight is more than 50 pounds. For Plan B we start it running again if you send us more than 70 pounds.

Think of it this way: If you send us 35 pounds of laundry and you're on Plan A we just figure your bill by multiplying 35 (pounds) by $1.20 which comes out to $42.00. $42.00 - that's the Plan A "cap." If you send us 40 pounds of laundry you're still only going to be billed $42.00 because pounds, 36, 37, 38, 39 and 40 we do for free. And we'll keep doing if for free until you hit 50 pounds! Tip the scales past 50 and we just start adding a $1.20 per pound for the overage. You still get the 15 pounds for free.

Plan B is very similar. The only difference is in the amount of the "cap." The Plan B "cap" kicks in at 45 pounds. Send us more than 45 pounds, but less than 70, and we'll do the extra for free.

Sounds like a lot of math, eh? Take a look at this chart and it should clear things up for you.

Keep in mind that in addition to the free laundry that comes with Plans A & B, you also get to take advantage of discounted dry cleaning rates.

So if you want to be on a regular schedule - either once a week or twice a week pickup - then Plan A or B is the right one for you. If you think you only need occasional pickups then Plan C is a better choice. Like Plans A & B, Plan C has a minimum pickup charge of $20.00 (17 pounds of laundry). If you send us more than 17 pounds we charge $1.35 per pound. With Plan C there's no "cap." With Plan C you can also include dry cleaning items but you won't qualify for our discounted dry cleaning rates.

Plan D is a completely different creature. It's for customers who need dry cleaning only. Plan D has a minimum pickup charge of $10.00. We figure your bill based on the number and type of items you send. Simple.

When you first sign up for a My Laundry Hamper account we'll send you a Welcome Kit that contains, along with some goodies, laundry and dry cleaning tote bags. We require a $20.00 deposit for the Welcome Kit.

If you choose to discontinue your My Laundry Hamper service within 30 days of signup we'll be happy to refund the Welcome Kit deposit upon the Welcome Kit's return.
